The Creation of Christianity and the 2000 Year Battle Against the Jews

The Jews and Gentiles have been at war with each other for a very long time and I believe that Christianity came about as a way of dealing with the Jews. This is my conclusion after studying some of the Christian and Jewish scriptures. Josesph Atwill’s Caesar’s Messiah convinced me even further. Atwill illustrates that the New Testament Gospels actually parallels the military campaigns of Rome’s Titus Flavius, from Galilee to Jerusalem.

The evidence for a historical Jesus is lacking. Nothing in ancient writings from the time Christ supposedly existed ever mentioned a Messiah-like figure. The Jews, whom normally keep meticulous records of events and genealogies, do not mention a Christ-like figure stirring up commotions, berating the Jews, and being crucified, let alone one performing miracles such as walking on water and healing the blind. The only records of Jesus came about decades after Jesus supposedly lived and are from authors whom were among the most responsible for the creation of Christianity. The New Testament was written in Greek, not in Hebrew or Aramaic. Greek was the written language of the Romans at the time. Judea was part of the Roman empire.

The Old Testament and New Testament are diametrically opposed to one another. The Old Testament, which is mainly based on the Hebrew Bible or Tanakh, is written for the Jews while the New Testament is written against the Jews. A passage in Luke 20:22-25 even discusses Jesus sanctioning the payment of taxes to the Romans, which is something the Jews abhor.

Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” (Jesus) saw through their duplicity and said to them, “Show me a denarius (type of Roman coin). Whose image and inscription are on it?” “Caesar’s,” they replied. He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

Among the main messages of the Old Testament is the idea of monotheism – the worship of one God and one God only. The Jesus story creates major contradictions. Is Jesus God and are there now two Gods? Or did God die and did Jesus then replace him?

Titus Flavius As Jesus

(The New Testament is) a satire of Titus Flavius’ military campaign through Judea. The proof of this is simply that Jesus and Titus share parallel experiences at the same locations and in the same sequence. Those parallels are both too exact and too complex to have occurred by chance. That this fact has been overlooked for two millennia represents a blind spot in scholarship. – Joseph Atwill

The story of Jesus Christ in the four gospels (Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John) is based on the Roman’s military campaign into Judea (see video above). Joseph Atwill argues that the Roman military general turned emperor, Titus Flavius, is Jesus. In Caesar’s Messiah, Atwill points out the uncanny resemblance of the itinerary of Joseph in the Old Testament and Joseph in the Gospel of Matthew (see the image above). This type of literary technique is known as “typology”. This was used to convince the readers that God’s hand instructed both events.

The encircling of Jerusalem with a wall and the destruction of the second temple in 73 AD was exactly one generation (40 years in Judaism) from the time Jesus was said to die (33 AD). Atwill believes the destruction of the temple WAS the Second Coming of Christ. The Flavian Dynasty lasted from 69 to 96 AD. This was the time many scholars believed the Gospels were written. The Messiah that the Jews were expecting would kick the Romans out of Judea. Instead the Messiah ended up being the one who persecuted the Jews.

(The) Messiah was not the xenophobic military leader that the Sicarii were expecting, but rather a multiculturalist who urges his followers to “turn the other cheek.” (Atwill, p18)

It is claimed that Josephus was the one who helped write the script for the Gospels. He was born into the royal family of the Maccabees in 37 CE. Josephus initially fought against the Romans during the 1st Jewish-Roman War. He was captured during the war and adopted into the Roman family. Josephus started working for the Romans. He is best known for the works of the War of the Jews and the Antiquities of the Jews. The Gospels appear to be based on the War of the Jews

CRITICISM OF ATWILL

I am convinced that the Gospels were based, at least in part, on the Wars of the Jews and that Titus is Jesus. However, I believe Atwill is wrong about the Roman’s goal of changing the behavior of Jews through their religious writings. Atwill has either a misunderstanding of Judaism or he is deliberately misleading you. Christianity was NOT created for the Jews but was created for the Gentiles. The intent was to form a united front against the Jews. The Romans were concerned with the behavior of the Jews. The Romans borrowed Jewish literature and attempted to use it against them. Atwill also argues that a major purpose of Christianity was to make ruling their subjects easier. There probably is some truth to that, but the Roman empire actually functioned quite well without organized religion. China today with it’s 1.4 billion people is an example of an irreligious country that has stayed unified.

Although I believe Atwill is correct in his beliefs that the Gospels were created for anti-Jewish purposes, he does not really delve into why the Romans harbored those beliefs. Atwill does note there had been a long history of violent struggle between Rome and Jerusalem but does not explain why the two groups have had so much struggle.

Atwill believes that the Romans needed the creation of Jesus to defeat the stubborn Jews by getting them to give up their religion and convincing them that their Messiah is in fact the one who considers them, the Jews, evil. Question is if the Romans had no problem destroying their temple and Jerusalem then why would they also need a written book in pacifying them? And since the Gospels were written in Greek, how would that be useful in convincing the Jews whose native language was not Greek? Even more ludicrous, Atwill believed the goal of the Gospels was to have the Jews worship Caeser as God.

(Christianity’s) success was achieved mainly in the Diaspora, where the Romans rarely had any major problems with the Jews. The Jewish War was only fought in Palestine, and not even against all the Jews there (many sided with Rome). How would inventing a religion that would have no chance of succeeding in the heart of Palestine but instead was tailor made to succeed outside Palestine, ever help the Romans with anything they considered important?  – Richard Carrier on Atwill

It has been recognized since early times that Jews did not assimilate with outsiders. The Jews were considered stubborn and unwilling to change and adapt. The people by nature are cohesive and concerned about keeping their people pure from Gentile blood. It is important to know that Judaism is not so much a religion as it is an extensive set of rules for how Jews are supposed to conduct their lives and interact with their fellow colleagues. It is crucial to know that Jews are a race. In Culture of Critique and Separation and It’s Discontents, Kevin MacDonald explains that Jews are a distinct group. They are as distinct as blacks, whites, and Asians are from each other. The motivation behind Christianity was to further demarcate their people from the Jews. MacDonald states that the two group have been competing with each other for land and resources sometimes around the 3rd or 4th century AD. This coincided with Christianity becoming the state religion of the Roman Empire during that time. Chrysostom, a prominent 4th century archbishop, viewed Judaism more as an economic entity than a religious organization (MacDonald, Separation and It’s Discontents, p125). This is a period of time the Gentiles started to harbor great fear of the Jews. Instead of seeing them merely as a nonsense, they saw them as aggressors. They observed how quickly Jews have taken over banking and trade. Gentile leaders felt the Jews were a threat to their power and feared they would soon become subservient to them. Christianity was a religion that would thus place Jews as an outcast. Unlike Judaism, Christianity was universal and always looked for new adherents regardless of their race or background. Christianity was an attempt to “recruit” as many members onboard in their pursuit to counter the surge of Jewish economic dominance. Christians were discouraged from trading and associating with Jews. Anti-semitism was encouraged and even honored by the Church. There was constant pressure to incorporate Christianity as the official state religion and have it take over government functions.

Whether passages in the New Testament directly single out Jews as conspirators and revolutionaries does not really matter. The sentiment of the non-Jews was that they already believed Jews practiced those things without having to read scriptures to confirm it. Church actions against the Jews and the anti-Jewish rhetoric of the Church Fathers struck a deep resonance with popular attitudes. A historian noted that “if the Christian populace so many times threw itself into the attack on synagogue after synagogue, it was not because it passively accepted orders given from above. … If the anti-Jewish polemic was so successful, it was because it awakened latent hatreds and appealed to feelings that were already there.” (MacDonald, Separation and Its Discontents, p122)

I suggest that the reason for Christian universalism was that the Empire had become a polyglot, ethnically diverse “chaos of peoples” (quoting race theorist Houston Stewart Chamberlain). The world became divided into Jews and non-Jews. The Jews remained an ethnic group, while the non-Jews developed a religious identification as Christians. (MacDonald, Separation and Its Discontents, p132)

The New Testament on Jews:

According to Christianity, the acceptance of Christ as Savior and the repenting of all sins is the ticket to eternal life in heaven. Those who reject Christ are destined for hell. By Christianity’s design all Jews are destined for hell. A Jew who accepts Christ is no longer a Jew and thus cuts all ties with his people. The message of Christianity preaches tolerance while depicting Judaism as evil and intolerant. The Jews are ultimately the “Christ killers” and accepting Christianity means you reject the Jews.

This rhetoric was meant to apply not only to the Jews of the Old Testament but also to their descendants in the contemporary world. According to Chrysostom, Jewish responsibility for killing Christ and their many other vices have been passed to the descendants of the ancient Jews as inherited traits. (MacDonald, Separation and Its Discontents, p126)

Most today who read the bible do not read it with the proper perspective. Both Christianity and Judaism pin each other as “us versus them”. Both religions pin the other as evil. The message of the New Testament is anti-Jew. This is no accident. The strategy of Christianity is in fact a mirror image of Judaism. The Talmud, Judaism’s main holy book, depicts the entire Gentile world as evil and must be dealt with accordingly. Christianity depicts the Jews as children of Satan. Christianity was an attempt to mirror Judaism’s cohesiveness and their well-defined ingroup/outgroup boundaries.

… you (Jews) testify against yourselves that you are descendants of those who murdered the prophets…You snakes, you brood of vipers! How can you escape being sentenced to hell? — Matthew 23:31-33

You (Jews) belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. – John 8:44

The Jews, who have both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins always: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.” – 1st Thessalonians 2:14-6

I know your afflictions and your poverty–yet you are rich! I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. – Revelation 2:9

The Talmud on Christians and Gentiles (http://www.talmudblasphemy.com/):

The Babylonian Talmud in written form dates back some 1500 years ago. It’s oral tradition is even older. Today the Talmud, not the Hebrew Bible, is the most important Jewish holy book.

On Gentiles:

Sanhedrin 58b. If a heathen (Gentile) hits a Jew, the Gentile must be killed. Hitting a Jew is the same as hitting God.

Sanhedrin 57a . A Jew need not pay a Gentile (“Cuthean”) the wages owed him for work.

Sanhedrin 57a . When a Jew murders a Gentile (“Cuthean”), there will be no death penalty. What a Jew steals from a Gentile he may keep.

Baba Kamma 113a. Jews may use lies (“subterfuges”) to circumvent a Gentile.

On Jesus:

Gittin 57a . Jesus is being boiled in “hot excrement.”

Sanhedrin 106a . Jesus’ mother was a whore: “She who was the descendant of princes and governors played the harlot with carpenters.”

Rosh Hashanah 17a . Christians (“minim”) and others who reject the Talmud will go to hell and be punished there for all generations.

Sanhedrin 90a. Those who read the New Testament  will have no portion in the world to come.

Shabbath 116a (p. 569). Jews must destroy the books of the Christians, i.e. the New Testament. 

The Protocols of the Learned Elder of Zion:

The Protocols use the word “Goyim”, a slur, in addressing non-Jews. Near the beginning of the very first protocol:

What I am about to set forth, then, is our system from the two points of view, that of ourselves and that of the GOYIM [i.e., non-Jews]. It must be noted that men with bad instincts are more in number than the good, and therefore the best results in governing them are attained by violence and terrorisation …

From Protocol 3:

The aristocracy, which enjoyed by law the labor of the workers, was interested in seeing that the workers were well fed, healthy, and strong. We are interested in just the opposite – in the diminution, the killing out of the goyim. Our power is in the chronic shortness of food and physical weakness of the worker because by all that this implies he is made the slave of our will, and he will not find in his own authorities either strength or energy to set against our will. 

THE GAME OF OPPOSITES

Christianity pins itself as the mirror opposite of Judaism. In effect they want you to believe everything the Jews were doing was evil. For example, many passages in the bible specifically speaks out against usury, profiteering, and wealth. Jesus directly accuses the Jews of being shrewd businessmen who value greed over spirituality.

Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God. – Mathew 19:24

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. – Matthew 21:12

The Lord’s Prayer, in Matthew 6:9-18, mentions debt forgiveness:

`Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Treatment of Enemies and Strangers:

The Lord’s Prayer also counters the Jew’s message of “never forgive, never forget” by “if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” 

While the Talmud treats their Gentile enemies as less than human, the bible tells you to love your enemies:

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.Matthew 5:43-44

When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong.  You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself … Leviticus 19:33-34

Holidays:

Christian holidays were placed directly opposite of Jewish ones. The Christian Holy Week coincided with Jewish Passover. Friday was the day Jews celebrated their Exodus out of Egypt while for Christians it was a day of sorrow as they mourned the Jew’s killing of Christ.

Devious Behaviors:

Jewish scriptures towards sex and relationships with minors is liberal. In the Talmud:

Sanhedrin. 55a: “Rab. said: pederasty with a child below 9 years of age is not deemed as pederasty with a child above that…” “…Rab. maintains that only he who is able to engage in sexual intercourse, may, as the passive subject of pederasty, throw guilt [upon the active offender]; while he who is unable to engage in sexual intercourse cannot…”

Kethuboth 11b: “A small boy who has intercourse with a grown-up woman makes her [as though she were] injured by a piece of wood”

Yebamoth 60b: There was a certain town in the land of Israel the legitimacy of whose inhabitants was disputed, and Rabbi sent R. Romanos who conducted an inquiry and found in it the daughter of a proselyte who was under the age of three years and one day, and Rabbi declared her eligible to live with a priest.

Christianity, on the other hand, traditionally had very conservative values towards sexuality. Many, at least in the old days, promoted the idea of maintaining virginity until marriage. Sexual relations were supposed to be confined to husband and wife.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. – Matthew 5:27-28

THE 3000 YEAR CONFLICT:

The Law of Cleanness regards gentiles and their land as intrinsically unclean. Gentiles are typically likened to beasts capable of the worst debaucheries, as in the writings of Maimonides where heathen women are suspected of whoredom and heathen men of bestiality (The Code of Maimonides, Book V: The Book of Holiness, XXII, 142). Jews conceptualize themselves as descendants of Jacob, represented in Genesis as smooth-skinned, delicate, and contemplative. Gentiles are represented by Esau, Jacob’s twin brother, the opposite of Jacob—hirsute, coarse, and brutal. Whereas Esau lives as a hunter and warrior, Jacob lives by intelligence and guile and is the proper master of Esau who has been commanded by God to serve Jacob. (MacDonald, Culture of Critique, p81)

Although my title says “2000 Year Battle”, the actual war between Gentiles and Jews is at least 3000 years. Christians and Jews have been in conflict since the 4th century. When you step back and see what the New Testament is all about, the big picture message that emerges is that the Jews are evil. For a long time, I couldn’t understand why the anti-Jew slant of the New Testament. Now I realize that the Jews and Gentiles have been at war with each other for essentially the past 3000 years. The current War on Terror is one example of Jews versus Gentiles conflict. However another war is being fought and it is covert. In the West the war is fought against the Gentiles through mass media, which is largely under Jewish control. Upon my research I found that Jews have been largely responsible for the movements in multiculturalism, feminism, and homosexuality. These things have drawn Gentiles away from traditional values and onto contradictory and conflicting ideas. These movements have been slowly destroying the way of life for the Gentiles without them knowing it.

Kevin MacDonald explains in Culture of Critique that one reason for these politically correct movements is that large homogeneous groups, whom share similar beliefs and viewpoints, are seen as a threat against small minority groups such as the Jews. Breaking them down into a mesh-mash of different groups with different viewpoints reduces them into smaller weaker groups. This is “divide and conquer”. The other reason is to make discrimination and criticism of any one group (except the WASP majority) taboo.
